Luigi (Gigi) Crugnola, born in Varese, Italy in 1934. Learned the art of pipe making from Giorgio Rovera, his Uncle Angelo Bianchi and Mother Adele.  After the passing of his mentors Gigi started  Gigi pipes in 1964.
